The Jane Iredale cosmetics collection is a line of mineral makeup that far surpasses other mineral makeup on the market. Jane Iredale, the founder of the same name, worked in television and film and had the pleasure of working with many makeup artists. She saw the way in which makeup applied appeared cakey and clumped after long wear. In order to address the issue and provide makeup that is healthy for the skin, does not clump, and has a high level of coverage, she created the Jane Iredale makeup line. What makes Jane Iredale stand out from the rest of the mineral makeup lines is the micronized mineral process. Because the minerals are milled into such a fine powder, they are better able to blend into the skin. This allows the Jane Iredale base makeup to work in four different ways: as a foundation, powder, concealer, and sunscreen. Many people with skin discolorations caused by age or sun spots, blemishes, rosacea, or birthmarks are able to fully conceal these issues with just the Jane Iredale base.
Another of the unique aspects of Jane Iredale is that both the pressed powder and loose powder supply an SPF 20, which prevents sun damage for those that experience normal exposure. Also, Jane Iredale is completely oil-free and is non-comedogenic.
