Studies have shown the clinical, histologic and ultrastructural changes were shown after continued use of NEOCUTIS Bio-Restorative Skin Cream with PSP. Patients applied the human growth factor and cytokine skin product twice daily on their entire face over a period of six months. A three mm punch biopsy was taken from the preauricular skni area before and after the treatment period. Further evaluations included photographic and clinical assessment of facial skin for wrinkles.

Histology evaluation indicated changes in the epidermal thickness and dermal-epidermal junction as well as significantly increased fibroblast density in the superficial dermis at the end of the six month treatment period. Ultrastructural changes consistent with new collagen formulation were shown by electron microscopy. This study together with earlier studies confirmed that topical application of NeoCutis growth factors and cytokines are also beneficial in reducing signs of facial skin aging.

In conclusion this study further corroborates that a novel human growth factor and cytokines help to significantly rejuvenate aged facial skin. The present study indicates that the continued use of the NeoCutis over a prolonged period of time helps to further improve signs of facial aging.
