Youngblood

As founder and president of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, Pauline Youngblood was inspired by nature to give women the power to conceal and fix their complexions as they desire. She worked as a paramedical aesthetician for dermatologists and plastic surgeons and she often observed patients who had severe skin irritations from harsh laser treatments, severe acne, rosacea and cosmetic surgeries. Pauline knew something was missing, as the skin on these patients would take many months to return to normal, with unsatisfactory makeup being used in the interval. She began collaborating with chemists on new makeup options to conceal discolored, raw or inflamed skin that would also still let the skin breathe and heal itself. She found her calling with natural mineral cosmetics.

Pauline Youngblood formulated her first product: a loose mineral foundation that gave excellent coverage and portrayed a natural appearance while letting skin breathe. Even after their skin had healed, Pauline’s patients continued to use the product, and by 1996, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics was born.
